Introduction
Uhuru Seleman Mwambungu (born 09 December 1989 in Tanzania)
is a Tanzanian professional footballer who currently plays as a Striker for
South African National First Division club Royal Eagles and the former Tanzania
national team. Uhuru has been recently ranked as top scorer after scoring
7goals in 5 games for Skyward FC. He played in the Ramadhan Cup Tournament,
held on 10 – 25th June 2016 in Tanzania.

Club career
Royal Eagles FC|2015/16
Mwambungu made his professional debut for Royal
Eagles, where he scored his first 2 winning goals in 2015/16 season. He was
signed by Royal Eagles in August 2015 only 3 months after the club had
recruited him from Tanzanian club Simba SC.
Simba SC|2009/15
Uhuru was signed with Simba SC for over 5 years, where
this young attacking striker scored 39 goals over 98 games he played just
before his spectacular talent was spotted by Cosmos.
Mtibwa
Sugar FC| 2008/09
mbungu joined Mtibwa Sugar Club, as his 2nd home
shortly after he parted ways with his first club Coastal Union. In the friendly
encounters during the season, Uhuru scored 6 goals that put his team in the map
and stayed on top of the log over 14 matches played in the season.
Costal Union FC|2007/08
Uhuru
professional football started when he was signed by his first club Coastal
Union in 2007. His fans labelled this young striker as an agile and exciting
player to watch, with great speed and ball control. In his first season, Mwambungu
scored 11 goals in the 26 matches he played in the season. In 2008, he was then
snubbed by Mtibwa Sugar FC when they saw his talent.
International career
Uhuru Mwambungu has represented Tanzania on
various youth levels. Since then he has seen several appearances with the
Tanzania national team during the World Cup qualification Africa 2008 matches
and over 23 various friendly matches scheduled, becoming a regular starter as the
attacking striker and top goal scorer. In 2009 Mwambungu went for trials in
Norway joined the team in EUFA Premier Division, Molde FK.
